At present, there are two main solutions for LED full-spectrum sunlight sources. One is to excite phosphors from 450-460nm blue light chips. By improving the phosphor to improve the color rendering index and light efficiency, Ra can reach more than 97, but it still shows a high intensity of the blue peak is just that the phosphor covers a wider band than ordinary LEDs to improve Ra and R9. The continuity of the spectrum is not perfect, and there is a large difference between the intensity ratio of each band and solar energy. Therefore, the advantages of this solution for health lighting are not obvious. It is mainly used in commercial lighting, and its high color rendering index is its main advantage.
Another solution is to excite RGB multi-color phosphors with a violet chip to achieve a continuous spectrum, without the lack of blue-green and deep-red light coverage like bi-color phosphors. The light source of this scheme is closest to the solar spectrum, which not only achieves high reduction and saturation but also avoids the appearance of short-wave blue light. Although light efficiency will be sacrificed, there is still some room for improvement.
