FAQs About Highbay LED Lighting
How Many LED High Bays Do I Need?
The number of high bay light fixtures needed is determined by the size of the space, ceiling height, building usage, and brightness required on the ground or workplace, etc. We recommend using the lighting layout design tool. It simulates a fixture’s light output in a custom-sized room. It will tell you the number of fixtures you’ll need to reach whatever level of illumination you’re going for. We can help to create a lighting layout design to calculate the numbers of fixtures and details according to your request.

Should I Use Lighting Controls With High Bay LED Lights?
While high bay LED lights for warehouse spaces are energy-efficient, directly installing them to your ceilings without lighting controls can be incredibly wasteful. Lighting automation controls, such as motion sensors, dusk-to-dawn photocells, and dimmers, are the perfect addition to your lighting system because they not only reduce your costs but also make the system easier to use. High bay lighting controls allow you to quickly start or shut off the fixtures, and using high bay occupancy sensors can also prevent accidental light usage when the facility is closed. Additionally, having a set of controls with your system allows you to dim the lights to a more energy-saving brightness.
What is the difference between high bay and low bay lighting?
High and low bay lighting fixtures are both used to illuminate large areas and mounted onto high ceilings to provide stronger light while reducing glare.
Ceiling height is the best way to compare high bay vs. low bay lighting. Low bay lighting setups, as the name suggests, are more commonly used where there’s less vertical distance for the light to cover. Low bay fixtures only work with ceilings that are between 4-5 meters high. High bay fixtures can illuminate ceilings that are 5-20 meters high.
The lighting also differs in strength. Low bay lighting is below 100 watts while high bays can go above 100 watts. High bays are most often found in warehouses, gantries, above large shops or conference floors, at sports facilities, and anywhere that needs a uniform, brilliant illumination to maximize visibility and light quality over a wide area.

How LED Highbay lighting is installed?
Typically, high-bay lighting fixtures hang from the ceiling via hooks, chains, or pendants, or they may be fixed to the ceiling directly with an adjustable bracket.
